Have questions?

Why technology needs to be taught to kids?

  • For both the educationists and the parents , its imperative that they respond to the changes & developments in our environment
  • Even in the previous generation, technology was being taught to school kids. Topics like Electricity, Sound, Optics etc. were taught to students, along with mechanism behind common appliances around us, which helped a  lot.
  • A basic overview of the prevailing technology is a must for kids so that they can make sense of their surroundings
  • In the same way, today Computer Science & Digital technologies are being used by everyone, at every moment. Right from our refrigerators to our smartphones, everything use some code and sensors.
  • Hence its critical for everyone to know the basics of technology in order to achieve #DigitalLiteracy and make sense of their environment

Is it all theory or hand-on projects too?

  • Our courses are focused more on practical learning
  • Overall, the ratio is 25% theory and 75% practical
  • DigitSutra focusses on project-based learning
  • Students get ample opportunities to practice the concepts learnt with their own hands-on projects.
  • With focus on practical learning, students retain all the concepts very well and also come up with innovative ideas for their application

What's the student to the teacher ratio in DigitSutra course?

In a typical Digitsutra course, there are how many students? Can I opt for one on one class?

Will kids get confused if they learn technology at such a young age?

  •  With so much of information easily available now-a-days, kids are already confused about technology
  • Our courses will in fact clear this confusion and allow them to learn the technology in a proper structured way
  • Kids are way smarter than adults esp. at understanding multiple things so adapt very  fast to any new technology
  • We provide the right foundation to them, which will be crucial to them in future while choosing subjects in higher classes or the right career in future, it will be an informed choice.

How is a typical DigitSutra class structured?

A typical class has four sections:

  1. Revision: Previous class content is revised, home assignment is reviewed
  2. Theory: Theory for the new topic is explained
  3. Project demo: Teacher creates a project explaining the concepts learnt in theory, students observe the teacher
  4. Project hands-on: Students create their own projects on their computers and take help from teacher if required

Can I first see a demo and then register for a course?

  • Before each course a demo class is conducted
  • In this the teacher gives a demo of a small project and explains the overall topics which would be covered in the course later

Am I increasing screen time for my child?

What would you prefer?

Passive screen time for your child in which child just is a mere consumer of technology,

v/s

active screen time where child is becoming creator of the technology?

What if my child misses a class? Or needs extra help?

  •  Digitsutra faculty is very passionate about what they teach
  • They go an extra mile to make students understand the concepts
  • Extra time is given to students if they miss a class or don't understand the concept or need extra help in their project
